The 2017 Adastra Pinot Noir is pale, ruby red in color and light-medium in body. A wine of good typicity, it has aromas of strawberries, black cherries, plums and licorice bark, along with hints of spice. On the palate, cherries, plums, spice and a mushroom element; there is a slight youthful, Marmite-y yeastiness on the edges which fades with decanting/age. A good match for a wide range of foods, this wine is enjoyable now and will cellar well.
