Dark ruby in color, the 2014 Adastra Merlot has aromas of black cherry and plumes, with hints of cedar, vanilla, black currant and slate.. Medium in body, the wine is nicely textured with an array of flavors including dark fruit, black olives, licorice and spice. The wine finishes smoothly with lingering notes of mocha and dark chocolate.

Merlot clone 3 and 6 from Adastra's organically farmed estate vineyard. Yields of 2.57 and 3.72 tons per acre. Hand-harvested on September 23, 2014. Made entirely from organically farmed grapes certified by CCOF.
Production Notes
Aged for 22.5 months in 100% French oak barrels. Coopers: Demptos, Marcel Cadet and Taransaud. Bottled on August 30, 2016.
