The 2022 Adastra Syrah is a dark, maroon-colored wine.  A subtle combination of fruit, spice, and savory components, the wine has an agreeable barky aroma, with hints of cherry and spice elements, including pepper, nutmeg, cumin, smoked paprika and tea.  There are also meaty and barnyard constituents.  Beautifully balanced, the wine has flavors of fruit, molasses, black tea, nutmeg, molasses, black olives, cocoa powder. and hard cherry candy. Enjoyable now, it will age well for at least the next decade. Syrah grapes for Adastra wines are estate-grown on our small, Carneros, Napa Valley vineyard and certified organic by the California Certified Organic Farmers (CCOF).
